Aurora provides a variety of services and programs in communities throughout eastern Wisconsin. As a not-for-profit charitable organization, revenue in excess of expenses is reinvested in improving health care service and improving the communities we serve – not just by way of charity care.
We are improving community well-being through our service, collaborations and outreach activities.
A few examples:
A sexual assault nurse examiner program serves residents of Racine, Walworth and Kenosha counties.
The Sexual Assault Treatment Center at Aurora Sinai saw nearly 600 patients from throughout southeast Wisconsin in 2007.
The parish nursing program, in which Aurora nurses serve 36 faith communities to address holistic health issues.
The Aurora School-Based Health Program, which for 10 years has served Milwaukee Public Schools as well as private schools.
The Winnebago County “boot camp” for new dads expecting their first child.
The Twin Counties Free Clinic in Marinette is made possible by Aurora. We donate clinic space, provide board leadership, and physicians and staff volunteer their time.
