Influenza vaccinations

The flu (influenza) is a potentially serious respiratory illness caused by a virus. The good news is that the flu can be prevented with an annual vaccination. Aurora is committed to increasing the number of flu vaccinations given, especially among those people at higher risk for complications.

Our Influenza team has developed tools and materials to help promote vaccination among high-risk persons, the community at large and our own employees.

Part of that commitment is our Shoo the Flu & Pneumonia Too! program, sponsored by the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin. Public vaccination clinics are held each year in numerous community locations throughout eastern Wisconsin.
