Established in 1974
The Aurora St. Luke's Family Medicine Residency Program has a long
history of providing excellent educational experiences and training for
family practitioners. Our 223 graduates are practicing throughout the
country, ranging from a rural Alaskan island to major metropolitan
areas.
With special strengths in preventive and community medicine, sports
medicine, women's health, in-patient services, geriatrics and research,
the program provides an excellent opportunity for residents to be
well-trained in virtually all areas. The entire residency program is
dually certified (allopathic/osteopathic), allowing osteopathic
residents to become certified through the American Osteopathic
Association, and providing all of our residents with opportunities to
learn and practice manipulation techniques.
Our Aurora St. Luke's Family Medicine residents have their continuity
office experience at the Family Practice Center (located at Aurora St.
Luke's Medical Center), and have
rotations/volunteer activities available at 3 community clinics and 1
outreach clinic to the homeless.
By offering maximum flexibility at a large institution with
tremendous resources and voluntary faculty, the Aurora St. Luke's
program will help you to become the physician you want to be.
"The St. Luke's Family Practice Center has a long tradition of
innovation and excellence in preparing family doctors for the
future. I am proud to be part of that."

"What I enjoy most about working with the St. Luke's residency
program is the philosophy of medicine that we all share - getting to
know patients and their families to provide the best quality care.
We work with a very diverse patient population and everyone is
treated with the utmost respect. the faculty and the residents have
a wonderful collegial relationship as well, and I enjoy coming to
work with my colleagues every day."
