The curriculum

The overall curriculum is designed to give the resident meaningful exposure to the breadth of internal medicine. Each resident's schedule includes a balance between inpatient and ambulatory experiences, including critical care and emergency medicine.

Each resident participates in consultative and outpatient clinics in all of the traditional subspecialties including infectious disease, cardiology, pulmonary, rheumatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, nephrology and hematology/oncology. In addition, residents have one-month rotations in the fields of neurology, psychiatry and geriatric medicine which are equally fundamental.
