Jess Bellone, Pharm.D.
Previous education: Pharm.D. from Drake University,
Des Moines, Iowa 2008
Short bio: I am originally from Rockford, IL and am
currently living in Wauwatosa, WI. I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking
and running. I also like going to the movies and spending time with
friends and family. My newest hobby is attempting to cook.
What factors did you consider most important when choosing a
residency? It was important to me that there were a variety of
rotations available, reasonable staffing requirements, and knowledgeable
and personable preceptors.
Why Aurora? I liked that Aurora had a variety of
different practice sites available for rotations and that my rotation
schedule would be flexible and tailored to my interests. A large
residency class was also a plus.

Year-long project: “Assessment and Implementation of
best practices to improve narcotic and sedative safety”
Future plans: Not quite sure yet? I have
interests in a variety of different specialty areas so I plan on using
this year to decide!
