Ashley Feldt, Pharm.D.
Previous education: Pharm.D. from Drake University
Short bio: I am originally from Rockford, IL,
but I currently love living in downtown Milwaukee! I enjoy
traveling, golfing, skiing, spending time with family and friends,
the Brewers, and the Atlanta Braves!
What factors did you consider most important when
choosing a residency? When I was looking into PGY-1
programs, I wanted a residency program that had a variety of
rotations, a large residency class, and was located in the Midwest.
In addition, I wanted the program to be paired with a PGY-2 in
Health-System Administration because I am currently completing my
MBA and eventually want to be involved in pharmacy administration.
Why Aurora? I had the opportunity to work with
several members of the management team during my PGY-1 year at
Aurora. I enjoyed my interactions with each member, and felt they
were a strong administrative team that I would like to have as
mentors during my PGY-2 year. In addition, I did not have to
commit to the PGY-2 year when I matched for the PGY-1 year. The
program director wanted to make sure that I was truly interested in
the administrative program before I committed to the second year
residency.
Current rotations:
- Health-System Administration
- Health-System Pharmacy Administration
- Inpatient Pharmacy Operations
- Outpatient Pharmacy Operations
- Clinical Services
- Information Systems
- Procurement/Supply Chain
Year-long project: “The Development of an Order
Capacity Control System”
Future plans: Secure a position as a
supervisor/manager at Aurora Health Care with opportunities for
advancement to an upper management position.
