Current

Previous education: M.B.A. Creighton University, Pharm.D.
Creighton University
Short bio: I spent most of my life in Wisconsin before
graduate school, and I’m happy to be back here in Milwaukee. I enjoy
spending my free time staying active and enjoying time with my wife and
family. I golf, read, and try to go to as many Brewers games as humanly
possible.
What factors did you consider most important when choosing a
residency? I wanted a residency program that offered clinical
rotations taught by specialists. It was important to me that the people
I would be spending time with could really teach me a lot of important
skills. I also wanted a program that offered a wide variety of
rotations. Having an interest in administration, I wanted to find a
program that could continue into a second year if I chose.
Why Aurora? The program at Aurora offered all the clinical
aspects I was looking for in a residency. I wanted to do a PGY2
specialty in Health Systems Administration and Aurora’s size offers me
plenty of opportunities. From day one the staff at Aurora has been so
welcoming and I have always felt very comfortable here.
Current rotations:
- Infectious Disease
- Adult Medicine
- Cardiology
- MICU
- Joint Commission Preparation
- Adult Medicine
- Administration
- Drug Policy
- Critical Care
- Family Practice
- Operating
Room
Year-long project: “Exploring the feasibility of injectable
products being prepared by and distributed from the packaging center”
Future plans: I hope to spend several years in a clinical role
before exploring a position in leadership within a large health care
system.
