Applicant/candidate assessment

All application elements are reviewed and scored. Applicants meeting the required minimum point value may be invited for a personal interview with the Admissions Committee. Personal interviews are typically scheduled March - April. Please note that not all applicants will receive an interview.

Student selection

The school does not maintain a waiting list; rather an Admissions Committee selects the most qualified applicants on an annual basis based on the application assessment and candidate responses to interview questions.

The decision of the committee is based upon information provided in the application and the personal interview. Factors considered are:

  • Academic achievement
  • Patient care experience
  • Knowledge of sonography
  • Compliance with all application requirements
  • Perceived communication skills, motivation, ability to follow instructions and maturity

Candidate notification

The Admissions Committee will notify all applicants of their final decision in writing in April. The candidates who are offered positions must submit a written letter of acceptance and a non-refundable $500.00 acceptance fee. The acceptance fee is applied to the tuition.

General eligibility requirements

All required information must be submitted by the stated due-dates. Failure to meet all deadlines will result in a rejection of the application. In addition, official transcripts must verify all educational information provided. Any discrepancies will terminate an applicant's eligibility.

As a condition of admission, applicants considered for an appointment will be required to pass a drug screen and physical examination. The cost of said tests are the responsibility of the sponsoring institution.
