Welcome Future Colleagues!
At Aurora Health Care, our promise to you is that we treat our learners as Future Colleagues. That means you will always be treated with respect and honesty. You will be given the tools and information that you need to succeed, a clinical environment that fosters learning, feedback to ensure that you can keep on getting better, and resources and facilities that meet your needs.
Aurora Health Care is an integrated delivery system, with physicians, hospitals, home care agencies and pharmacies all working together to enhance care of the residents of eastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. Aurora is committed to measuring and improving our service quality and patient-centered care.
Milwaukee affords a unique urban environment for medical students. Our patients offer the ability to engage with some of the most vulnerable and underserved populations in the state and to enhance your understanding of the effects of socioeconomic and educational disparities on health. Embrace this opportunity with humility, compassion and appreciation of the strengths and resilience of the urban communities.
Aurora Sinai and Aurora St. Luke's Medical Centers, the hubs for student training, are located near the shores of Lake Michigan, whose beaches, piers and marinas offer a relaxing place to unwind. With the downtown area close at hand, students coming to Milwaukee can easily explore the many ethnic restaurants, art galleries, and museums; attend a show at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts; catch a game at the Bradley Center or Miller Park; or ride the 76 miles of bike trails through the city.
As you can see, Milwaukee has a lot to offer and yet maintains that 'small town feel.' Students will have no trouble finding something that they can enjoy during their time in Milwaukee.
Again, welcome to Aurora Health Care!
