Aurora to offer care in LomiraMonday, June 20, 2005
Aurora Health Care announced plans today for construction of a new Aurora Health Center in Lomira. The center is being built in response to the growing health care needs of northern Dodge County community.
The one-story, brick physician office building will be located near the intersection of US 41 and State Highway 67. It will occupy approximately 4,000 square feet.
“Many of our patients live in northern Dodge or southern Fond du Lac County or nearby,” said Mary Jo Merwin, administrator of the Aurora Health Center. “This new center will provide a new option for care closer to home.”
The new center will comfortably accommodate two primary care physicians who will provide the full spectrum of medical treatment from newborn to elderly care.
“We are excited to be able to bring convenient, affordable health care to the residents of Lomira,” said Merwin. “Aurora Health Care looks forward to becoming part of the community and providing medical care to the families in the area.”
The center will feature outpatient diagnostic services, including an on-site laboratory and x-ray.
Construction at the site is scheduled to begin this fall, and the new health center is expected to be ready for occupancy in early 2006.
Other Aurora Health Centers located near Lomira include Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac.
