Aurora Health Care web site wins national recognitionThursday, December 01, 2005Categories include Best Overall Web Site and Interactivity Aurora Health Care has won national honors for its web site, www.AuroraHealthCare.org. “Part of providing better access and better service is finding innovative ways to make it easier for our patients to learn about and manage their health on the web,” said Sue Buettner, senior vice president of administrative services. “We’re very proud of our team for helping to meet those needs.” The most recent honors, received in November, are from Greystone.Net and eHealth Care Leadership Awards.
The Greystone awards showcase the finest in hospital and healthcare system web content and functionality. This is the second year Aurora has won an award for Interactivity from Greystone. Aurora Health Care’s web site also earned the gold medal for Best Overall Internet Site for health care systems in the eHealthcare Leadership Awards. This program recognizes the very best web sites of health care providers, health plans, health care associations and other health care organizations. They highlight the Internet's role in achieving an organization's business objectives. Earlier this year, Aurora was awarded a bronze Aster Award for its web site. The Aster is a national medical marketing awards program allowing healthcare organizations and advertising agencies to compete against similarly sized competitors from across the nation. Among the organizations against which Aurora competed this year are: The Cleveland Clinic, Georgetown University Hospital, Children’s Hospital Boston and Merck & Co. Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a national leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care.
