Agreement clears way for Aurora project in JacksonFriday, June 23, 2006
Aurora Health Care announced today that it has entered into an agreement with SynergyHealth and the Village of Jackson under which Aurora will acquire rights to 2 parcels of land in Jackson.
The 2 parcels, totaling approximately 8 acres, were condemned by the Village of Jackson last year to allow Aurora to consolidate these parcels with a larger adjacent parcel for construction of a new clinic.
The agreement among Aurora, SynergyHealth and the Village of Jackson resolves all pending disputes over the 2 properties, including various civil actions filed in Washington County Circuit Court.
"SynergyHealth and Aurora Health Care share a strong commitment to improving the health and well-being of Washington County residents," said Donald J. Nestor, Aurora's executive vice president and chief financial officer. "We are pleased to reach this agreement and look forward to enhancing our services in the Jackson area."
Aurora intends to replace its existing clinic on Main Street in Jackson with a larger clinic offering room for additional physicians and diagnostic services. The new clinic will be northeast of the intersection of Highways 45 and 60. A timetable for construction has yet to be determined.
Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
