Application deadline is April 15

Students who are residents of Burlington and pursuing a post-secondary course of study in health care are eligible for scholarships through Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington Auxiliary.

The hospital is offering a $5,000 scholarship for students enrolled in medical school, a $3,000 scholarship for those pursuing a bachelor's degree, and a $1,500 scholarship for students pursuing a 2-year degree.

Deadline for applications is April 15, 2007.

"Supporting students interested in pursuing a career in health care is part of our mission,'' said Connie Herrick, regional manager, volunteer services, Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington. "The need for nurses, radiology technicians, physicians, and pharmacists continues to grow."
