Aurora Health Center to be built in RiponWednesday, June 20, 2007
Aurora Health Care today announced plans for construction of a primary care clinic along West Fond du Lac Street in Ripon.
The 1-story, 12,000-square-foot clinic will house 2 primary health care providers who will offer the full spectrum of medical treatment for patients from newborns to the elderly.
"The new Aurora Health Center is being built in response to the growing health care needs of the Ripon area," said Robert Devermann, M.D., director of medical operations for Aurora's Central Region. "The first level of care, or primary care, needs to be close to home, and that is what this new clinic will provide for the residents of Ripon."
The center, which features on-site laboratory and X-ray services, will be located on the western edge of Ripon off Highway 23, also known as West Fond du Lac Street.
In addition, specialty physicians from Aurora Medical Group in Oshkosh will have office hours at the clinic.
"Many of our physicians and employees live in Ripon and are part of the community," Dr. Devermann said. "We look forward to improving the health of those who live and work in the Ripon area."
The new clinic in Ripon is expected to open by early 2008.
