Aurora Health Center to be built in OcontoThursday, June 21, 2007Aurora Health Care today announced plans for construction of a primary care clinic along Highway 41 in Oconto. The 1-story, 4,000-square-foot clinic will house up to 2 primary health care providers who will offer the full spectrum of medical treatment for patients from newborns to the elderly. "The new Aurora Health Center is being built in response to the growing health care needs of the Oconto area," said Thomas Koehler, M.D., president of Aurora's North Region. "The first level of care, or primary care, needs to be close to home, and that is what this new clinic will provide for the residents of Oconto," Dr. Koehler said. The center, which features on-site laboratory and X-ray services, will be located on the southern edge of Oconto on the western side of Highway 41. The new clinic in Oconto is expected to open by January 2008.
