Aurora Health Center to open in Suamico areaFriday, September 14, 2007Community celebration set for Oct. 6 People living and working in the Howard-Suamico area will soon have an Aurora Health Center in their neighborhood. The new 9,300-square-foot clinic is scheduled to open on Sept. 17 at the northwest corner of Lineville Road and Carolina Cherry Drive, just west of the Bay Port High School campus. The Aurora Health Center, which was announced in November, marks Aurora's entry into the Howard-Suamico area. Previously, Aurora patients in the area needed to travel to Pulaski or Green Bay for their primary health care needs. The community is invited to tour the clinic and meet the staff at a grand opening celebration from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 6. Family Nurse Practitioner Cathy DeValk-Holl leads the new clinic. Also on staff are Medical Assistant Lisa Krejcarek, who will provide nursing services, and Tammy Greenwood, a radiologic technologist, phlebotomist and customer service representative. Krejcarek has more than 13 years of medical experience with Aurora Health Care. She earned her certification through Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Lisa is married with four children. Aurora Health Center in Suamico will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Same-day appointments will be available. With 12 exam rooms and one area for special procedures, it will offer primary care for patients of all ages. Preventive care and immunizations will also be offered at the clinic. X-rays, blood tests and urine analysis can be taken at the clinic as well as in office results for tests such as pregnancy, strep throat and mononucleosis. To make an appointment at the Aurora Health Center, call 920-662-2100.
