Aurora Health Care moves forward with plans to expand services for Jackson area patientsFriday, September 21, 2007
Aurora Health Care announced today that it is moving forward with plans to provide a wider range of health care services for patients in Jackson and surrounding communities.
As first announced in 2002, Aurora will replace its existing clinic on Main St. in Jackson with a new building northeast of the freeway interchange at Highways 45 and 60.
“We are excited to be going forward with this project,” said Steven Holcomb, M.D., an Aurora family practice physician in Jackson. “We look forward to providing a broader array of services for patients in our growing communities.”
In addition to offices for primary care physicians and specialists, the clinic will offer diagnostic services, laboratory services, a retail pharmacy and a cancer center.
The clinic will incorporate 88,000 square feet of space on two levels. The building is to be situated in the center of a 59-acre site with access from Highway P. The parking lots will accommodate 450 cars. The red brick building will feature covered patient drop-off areas. The estimated cost of construction is $12 million.
Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
