Free event includes screenings and tours
Our experienced and knowledgeable health care professionals help keep families healthy. As part of the Waterford Chamber's Family Fest event, Aurora Health Center in Waterford is hosting a Family Health Expo featuring free glucose screenings, tours and fingerprinting for children. Learn more about various health topics including asthma, stroke, childhood obesity, and preventative health.
The event is scheduled from 9 a.m.-Noon, Saturday, May 10, Aurora Health Center, 818 Forrest Ln., Waterford. For more information, please call 800-499-5736.
"Health information is one of the ways of keeping your family healthy,'' said Mary Chris Lynch, registered nurse and community educator, Aurora Health Care. "We will have various physician specialists on hand from rheumatology, pediatrics and women's health. This is an excellent opportunity to talk with health care professionals about your health-related questions. We're pleased to be able to offer this in conjunction with the Waterford Chamber's Family Fest event.''
The day will also feature body mass index demonstrations, echocardiogram demonstrations, and information about advance care directives. Health care professionals from Aurora Pharmacy and Pastoral Care will also be on hand.
