Tree of Angels Event to Be Held Dec. 2 at Aurora Zilber HospiceMonday, December 01, 2008
Milwaukee, Wis. -- The Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin will hold its fourth annual Tree of Angels Celebration at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice.
Angels bearing the names of loved ones will be hung on evergreen trees in front of the hospice residence, 1155 Honey Creek Pkwy, Wauwatosa, and will remain there through Jan. 15.
Each angel costs $25 to purchase. Proceeds benefit the VNA's hospice program, through which patients are provided high quality, compassionate care in their homes throughout eastern Wisconsin and at the Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice residence. The event also helps continue the VNA's tradition of providing hospice care in eastern Wisconsin even for those who cannot afford it.
The evening will feature refreshments, harp music and an invocation from the hospice's chaplain.
"The Tree of Angels has become a special way to pay tribute to those who have touched our lives," said Dawn Klockow, director of clinical services for the VNA. "We invite anyone who is interested in our hospice program or who would like to honor a loved one to contact us and to attend this beautiful and touching event."
The Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin is a not-for-profit agency that has been committed to keeping people independent in their homes since 1907. The Aurora VNA is the most comprehensive source of home care services in eastern Wisconsin.
The Aurora VNA is part of Aurora Health Care, a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
