Mishicot, Wis. - Aurora Health Center in Mishicot has received a new automatic blood pressure unit with a digital display, similar to those found at larger clinics and hospitals throughout the Aurora system.

Nursing Supervisor Robbie Bergin, R.N., said, "This blood pressure machine makes it easier to monitor patients' vital signs, and this could prevent a heart attack, stroke or other life-threatening condition."

Bergin continued, "The staff really appreciates having this machine. It can automatically take periodic blood pressure readings by continuously cycling on and off as needed. It also prints out the results. This is an efficient way to take repeated readings and frees up our caregivers to do other tasks to help the patient."

The Mishicot clinic opened more than five years ago. It is located at 175 South State Street. "Our clinic treats many guests who are golfing or attending events at the nearby resort. It's very convenient for them to come to our clinic, rather than drive to a bigger city for medical care," Robbie added.
