Aurora Pharmacy Acquires Three Madison PharmaciesThursday, May 01, 2003MILWAUKEE, Wis., Aurora Pharmacy has purchased three Madison-area retail pharmacies. The community pharmacies are in former Kohl’s Food Stores that were purchased by The Copps Corporation, a subsidiary of Roundy’s, Inc.
The pharmacies will operate under the name Aurora Pharmacy. The transaction was completed May 1.
The pharmacies are at the following locations:
Monona 6540 Monona Drive
Fitchburg 3010 Cahill Main
Shorewood Hills 3650 University Ave.
“The Madison-area pharmacy purchases reflect the longstanding relationship we have had with Roundy’s. Over the years Roundy’s has asked us to operate the pharmacies that are a part of Copps and Pick ‘n Save food stores throughout Wisconsin,” said James Moore, president, Aurora Pharmacy. “We appreciate the opportunity to offer the pharmacy services that are an important ingredient in Roundy’s success throughout the state.”
The Aurora Pharmacy stores will remain open to customers while Copps remodels the food store areas of each location.
Aurora Pharmacy operates community pharmacies in more than 130 locations throughout the state.
