Aurora QuickCare Now Offers Sports PhysicalsFriday, April 24, 2009
Starting May 1, QuickCare can help prepare you child for camp or sports, with no appointment necessary
Milwaukee, Wis. -- Starting May 1, Aurora QuickCare will offer sports physicals from children ages 9 to 17 who will be going to summer camp or joining a sports team at school.
“There was a great demand for this service as more and more children become involved in camps and sports activities,” said Janet Teske, manager of Aurora QuickCare. “Because we don’t require appointments and have evening and weekend hours, it’s very convenient for families to get a physical, even with a tight deadline. Frequently life is so hectic, a sports physical may be one of the last items on a family’s list. We make it easy for them to be in, out and on their way.”
Aurora QuickCare providers will use the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association guide for physicals. This requires a family history as well as a rigorous physical examination that clears children not only for sports but also for most camps.
Costs for the physicals range from $49 to $59, and are just one of the services Aurora QuickCare provides.
Aurora QuickCare providers can assess patients, write prescriptions, advise individuals on how to manage symptoms, or tell them if they will need additional care.
Aurora QuickCare offers tests to quickly diagnose common minor ailments, and services range from $49 to $69. QuickCare accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare.
