Aurora Health Care Named Top WorkplaceFriday, June 26, 2009
Milwaukee, Wis. -- Aurora Health Care has been named a Top Milwaukee Workplace of 2009. Aurora is among the large employers selected for the award by the Business Journal of Milwaukee.
Award recipients were selected through a process that included a survey that gathered feedback from employees of large, medium and small businesses across the Milwaukee area.
"We are delighted that our caregivers feel Aurora is a top place to work," said Laurie Mahoney, senior vice president of human resources. "A great work environment helps ensure that we can maintain high quality patient care. Our caregivers have told us what is essential to make our organization a preferred place to work, and we have listened to them."
Milwaukee area employers were rated through an online survey that focused on employee engagement, teamwork, trust in senior leaders and an organization's efforts to meet the needs of their employees and their families.
Aurora and other award recipients will be featured in the Business Journal's Aug. 7 issue and honored at an awards luncheon at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee.
This most recent award is one of a series of recognitions that Aurora has received over the years for being a top employer. Other awards have included a national Best Places to Work recognition from Modern Healthcare and the Wisconsin Governor's Diamond Award for workplace diversity.
Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services in 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
