Aurora Lakeland Medical Center offers scholarships to local studentsMonday, February 08, 2010
ELKHORN, Wis., — Students who are residents of Walworth County and pursuing a post-secondary course of study in health care are eligible for the Elizabeth A. Miller Scholarship, offered by the Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Benefit Committee.
“Helping to develop tomorrow’s health care professionals are what this scholarship is all about,’’ said Alice Morava, Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Benefit Committee member. “The need for nurses, radiology technicians, physicians, and pharmacists will only continue and supporting students interested in pursuing a career in health care is part of our mission.’’
To qualify, a scholarship applicant must be in their junior or senior year of a bachelor degree program or enrolled in a graduate program. Applicants must also have a grade point of 2.8 in the academic year immediately prior to application and maintain a 2.8. Deadline for applications is April 2, 2010.
