Kelly Hoeffner nominated for nursing awardTuesday, March 09, 2010Two Rivers, Wis. – Kelly Hoeffner, RN, of Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers has been nominated for a nursing award, called the “DAISY award.” The nomination cited Kelly’s thoughtfulness in caring for not only the patient, but for the other family members as well. As told by the patient’s family: “She had to use her skills to work with all the members of the family and their needs, someone who wanted too much information, someone who didn’t handle the situation well, and someone who didn’t want to be there at all.” Aurora is pleased to partner with the DAISY Foundation and support their award program as a way to recognize nurses throughout our system. The award recognizes the clinical skills, extraordinary compassion and care exhibited by nurses everyday. Since the DAISY Award launched in 2001, more than 3,700 nurses have received the award. Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services at sites in more than 90 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin. # # # Contact: Krissy Lillie |
