Aurora Medical Center in Manitowoc County will host second annual Evening in the Garden fundraiser for cancerThursday, July 08, 2010Two Rivers, Wis. – Join Aurora Health Care at the second annual “Evening in the Garden” fundraiser for cancer on Friday, July 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Healing Garden at Aurora Medical Center in Manitowoc County, 5000 Memorial Drive. Honorary Chair Dr. Edward Barylak, medical oncologist at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic, will host an evening of entertainment that will include Japanese cuisine, a silent auction and raffles to raise money to help treat cancer patients in Manitowoc County and surrounding areas. JASC Tsukasa Taiko, a leading Japanese drumming ensemble in the Chicago area, sponsored by BayCare Clinic, will provide musical entertainment for the evening. Proceeds from the event go to the Vince Lombardi Charitable funds for the benefit of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center Manitowoc Japanese Garden expansion project. Last year’s event raised $16,000 and Aurora Health Care aims to raise even more funds for the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic this year. Tickets for the “Evening in the Garden” Fundraiser are $50 per person and include an evening of entertainment and Japanese cuisine.
