Aurora Medical Center Washington County upgrades with new diagnostic imaging equipmentWednesday, December 15, 2010Hartford, Wis. – Aurora Medical Center Washington County is upgrading its digital imaging services with the addition of a new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner and a 64-slice CT scanner. The state-of-the-art technology will provide patients with the most advanced in digital imaging services. The MRI scanner is designed to provide a roomier interior, which will be more accessible and comfortable for patients. Its multiple contrast imaging results in four times more data being provided from a single scan, which means more anatomical area is covered leading to fewer scans and shorter exam times. The 64-slice CT scanner will be available at Aurora Medical Center Washington County starting this December. The scanner will give physicians the ability to see more anatomical detail in only a fraction of the time.
