David Yates, author of “Cancer Sucks: A True Story,” visits clinic Oct. 3 Green Bay, Wis. – The Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic at Aurora BayCare Medical Center welcomes David Yates, a three-time cancer survivor and author of the new book “Cancer Sucks: A True Story,” and his wife on Monday, Oct. 3, at 9 a.m. Yates will tour the facilities at Aurora BayCare, meet with caregivers and spend time with cancer patients in effort to inspire them with his philosophy to “never give up.” While in Green Bay, Yates will also visit local schools that created the organization “Sting Cancer,” now one of the largest school cancer organizations in the nation. On Thursday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m., the public is invited to attend a book signing and author-led discussion at the Barnes and Noble located at 2498 Oneida Street, in the village of Ashwaubenon. The event is being presented by the local Sting chapters. Aurora BayCare Medical Center is a 167-bed, full-service tertiary care hospital located at 2845 Greenbrier Road on Green Bay’s east side.
