Aurora St. Luke's South Shore classified as Level IV trauma facilityWednesday, December 28, 2011Cudahy, WI - Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore has been classified by the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services as a Level IV Trauma Care Facility. Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore is one of 124 hospitals statewide that voluntarily participates in Wisconsin’s trauma system. The system identifies hospital trauma care facilities by classifying each as a Level I, II, III, IV or an “unclassified” facility. The classifications ensure each trauma patient is brought to the closest hospital with resources matching their needs. The Level IV classification designates that the facility will provide stabilization and advanced trauma life support prior to patient transfer to a Level I or II facility. The classification will remain in place for three years. Located in the heart of the south shore area, Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore offers a complete range of primary and acute care services. The facility offers a range of specialty medical services, including cardiology, radiology/imaging, surgery, wound care and behavioral health, as well an intensive care unit, a specialty diagnostic treatment center and cancer services. # # # Contact: Adam Beeson Join our social media communities for ongoing updates: |
