Aurora Health Care recognized as a top performer in Premier health care alliance's national QUEST collaborativeFriday, January 06, 2012Milwaukee - Aurora Health Care has been recognized for achieving top performance standards in quality and cost-effective care in a voluntary, nationwide hospital performance improvement project. Aurora had more top performing hospitals than any other system. This is the third consecutive year that Aurora has achieved this honor. In addition, four facilities – Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore – were named Top Performers each of the last three years. QUEST is a voluntary program that supports individual hospitals in delivering the best care possible. It facilitates sharing of collaborative solutions to improve health care nationwide and aims to influence public policies. Together, the current 278 QUEST members share ideas, strategies and proven practices to reduce variation, an approach that has been shown to improve care quality, safety and cost. In just 30 months, QUEST members saved 25,235 lives and reduced health care spending by $2.85 billion through the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to 63,094 patients. In addition:
