Aurora Lakeland Medical Center offering scholarships to local studentsWednesday, February 29, 2012
Elkhorn, WI — Students who are residents of Walworth County and pursuing a post-secondary course of study in health care are eligible for the Elizabeth A. Miller Scholarship, offered by the Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Benefit Committee.
“Career opportunities in the health care field will continue to grow as our population ages,” said Michelle Weber, foundation development officer at Aurora Health Care Foundation. “The Aurora Lakeland Medical Center Benefit Committee is proud to offer scholarships to students who are interested in a health care career.”
To qualify, applicants must be in their junior or senior year of a bachelor’s degree program or enrolled in a graduate program. Applicants must be an employee of Aurora Health Care or have a family member who is currently employed at Aurora. Qualified candidates must also have a 2.8 GPA in the academic year immediately prior to their application and maintain at least a 2.8 GPA. Application deadline is April 1, 2012.
