Green Bay, Wis. – Aurora BayCare Spooky Sprint 5k and 1-mile walk / run will take place Saturday, October 26 at Aurora BayCare Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Center.

“Aurora BayCare opened this event to the public last year because the health of our community is always a priority,” said Dan Meyer, Aurora BayCare Medical Center President. “The Spooky Sprint is an event the whole family can enjoy together while being active and, if you choose, getting more use out of your Halloween costume.”

The 5k and 1-mile run / walk will take place on Saturday, October 26 at Aurora BayCare Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center, 1160 Kepler Drive, Green Bay. The 5k and 1-mile will begin at 9:00 a.m.

This year’s event will feature a 1-mile Trick or Treat Trail. The 1-mile route will have tricks, treats, activities and more. Participants are encouraged to dress in costume!

All registered participants will receive a t-shirt, refreshments, and the opportunity to win the costume contest in four different categories, youth, adult, family and team.

All proceeds from the Spooky Sprint will support Greater Green Bay YMCA programs.

Runners and walkers are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for a food drive to benefit Ben's Wish, a local nonprofit organization working to fight hunger in Brown County. Suggested items include canned fruits, vegetables, and proteins such as canned chicken, beef, or tuna.
