Aurora Sheboygan Clinic - Kiel to update and expand

Wednesday, July 07, 2004

KIEL, Wis., Aurora Health Care announced construction of a new clinic building to replace the Aurora Sheboygan Clinic in Kiel. The replacement clinic is being built in response to the growing health care needs of the Kiel community. The new clinic will be located at 1001 Service Road, Kiel, just off Highway 67.

The new clinic will occupy approximately 9,800 square feet on nearly 2 acres of land. The larger, more efficient design will make room for additional staff and clinical space.

``More people are using the health center, and we are growing beyond our current facility,`` said Jerry Kamp, administrator of the Aurora Sheboygan Clinics. ``This project will provide more convenient access to physicians and health care services and more space for support staff.``

The new building will include office space for an additional health care provider if community needs grow, an Aurora Vision Center, and space for physical therapy. The expansion will also include upgraded, outpatient diagnostic services like lab and x-ray, and a full-service, retail pharmacy.

David Deubler, MD, a board-certified, family practice physician will continue his 18 years of health excellence in the community. ``We are excited about the new clinic. This again shows Aurora's strong commitment to the Kiel community. This project will be a real asset for Kiel residents and supports our vision of finding a better way to provide health care.``

Construction work will begin within the coming month and is expected to be complete by the end of the year. Dr. Deubler will continue to see patients at the current clinic location at 635 Paine St. until the new building is finished.

``This new facility will be a very nice enhancement for this community,`` Dr. Deubler said. ``We will be able to offer more medical care to more people in a very efficient, well designed area.``

Dr Deubler and his five person staff see an average of 125 patients a week at the clinic. Dr. Deubler emphasizes prevention and wellness while treating his patients - from newborns to the elderly - including women with obstetrical needs. His special interests are in diabetes care and high blood pressure management. Dr. Deubler also serves as medical director of the Kiel Fire Department and Ambulance Service.

The Aurora Sheboygan Clinic - Kiel is supported by specialists from the Aurora Sheboygan Clinic in Sheboygan and Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Aurora Sheboygan Clinic is part of Aurora Health Care. Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit Wisconsin health care provider and a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. Aurora offers services at sites in 80 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin.
