Named
Endowment Funds
Would you like to give a very special gift
to Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center – one that will express your lasting
concern for the health and welfare of your community? If so, perhaps you
should consider a named endowment fund.
Named
endowment funds are extremely important to the hospital. They offer
permanent financial resources and allow the hospital to make plans for the
future, ensuring St. Luke's viability.
There are many ways to identify your fund.
You can recognize it with your name or with the name of someone else, such
as your parents. You can also designate your fund for a specific purpose
such as education or research. A permanent plaque recognizing your named
endowment will be placed in St. Luke's distinguished recognition
area.
With a gift of $25,000 or more, a fund can
be established in your name or a name of your choice. The contribution you
make will remain intact, with only the income from the principal available
for use. You and others may continue to build on your initial investment.
You can commemorate anniversaries, birthdays and other special occasions
by adding to your fund.
You may establish a named endowment during your lifetime with a gift of cash or appreciated property. Your
fund can also be designated through a bequest in your will or by
establishing a life income gift, where you retain the income during your
lifetime. As a charitable contribution, your gift is tax-deductible as
provided by law.
Your endowed fund will be professionally
managed and St. Luke's Medical Center will ensure that your funds are
used for the purpose you have specified. You will be kept up to date on
your fund so you will have the satisfaction of knowing how your gift is
helping others.
