Part of the Aurora Health Foundation's vision is to be the leading provider of charitable resources for health care needs, community education, and patient care in the communities we serve. The Aurora Health Foundation awards a number of merit-based academic scholarships to deserving students who will be or are currently pursuing a degree in a health care-related field*.

Scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of outstanding academic achievement, leadership and volunteer activities. However, financial need may be taken into consideration when selecting scholarship winners.

Aurora Health Foundation Athletic ScholarshipAbout our scholarships

Eligible applicants are those who plan to study at an accredited two or four-year college, university or technical school for any health related career* including medicine, nursing, physician assistant, physical, occupational or speech therapies, medical technology, pharmacy, radiology technology, etc. Qualified applicants include high school seniors, current undergraduate and graduate students.

Some Aurora Health Foundation scholarships are renewable, for a maximum of four years. Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for all eligible scholarships through the Foundation because multiple scholarships can be awarded to particularly deserving applicants. The final selection of scholarship winners is made by the Aurora Health Foundation Advisory Group.

In 2007, 27 scholarships were awarded to students from Fond du Lac, Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Waushara and Winnebago Counties. The 2008 Scholarship Banquet, where scholarship awards are presented, is scheduled for the evening of Thursday May 8.

*Applicants for the Aurora Medical Center AMG Oshkosh Family and Aurora Sheboygan Clinic scholarships may pursue a career in any field and are not limited to the health care field.
