Medical Center Foundation of Hartford

The mission of the Medical Center Foundation of Hartford is to improve the availability and quality of health care provided by Aurora Medical Center in Washington County, by raising funds for new programs and needed services which benefit the patients and communities we serve.

With generous support from community members like you, our Foundation can help those in our community in need of services they otherwise cannot afford.

With our Adult Day Services program, your donation helps families caring for loved ones with Alzheimer's, dementia or other physical challenges get respite needed, while their loved ones are cared for in a warm, friendly facility staffed by Aurora medical professionals and volunteers. Built on hospital grounds in 2005, the “1022 Club” offers an array of services to its clients, including bathing, meals and interactive activities, which stimulate cognitive abilities. Many families aren't able to afford this service.

Health Watch is a personal response system offering a 24-hour connection to highly trained professionals, advanced personal monitoring technologies and peace of mind for elderly or disabled individuals living alone. How does Health Watch work? Subscribers wear a lightweight, waterproof button called “Amie.” In the event the subscriber needs assistance of any kind, they need only press their Amie to activate the help console installed in their home, which then dials the Health Watch Response Center, putting them in touch with immediate help.

Some people can afford the $25 per month charge for Health Watch, but many cannot. That's why your donation to the Medical Center Foundation of Hartford is needed to help cover the costs for some Health Watch clients. We think it is an important part of keeping people safe and independent.

Free transportation is available for patients with medical appointments at Aurora Medical Center in Washington County, Adult Day Services in Hartford, Ambulatory Care Center in Hartford, Aurora Health Center in Hartford and Aurora Health Center in Slinger, and serves residents of Washington County. This service is made possible by donations from caring people like you. Often, elderly and disabled individuals do not have the means to get to their appointments.  Your donations provide this much-needed service at no cost to the patient.

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program serves residents of Washington County. With the increasing numbers of victims seen each year, the need to have the most current information and latest technology is imperative.

A gift to the Foundation's Greatest Need Fund allows the Foundation flexibility to respond to unexpected needs that arise within our hospital.
