How are we measured by others?

Wisconsin Hospital Association's CheckPoint initiative

National guidelines recommend certain treatment measures for patients hospitalized with a heart attack, heart failure, or pneumonia. These measures are proven to give patients the best possible results. The Wisconsin Hospital Association's CheckPoint reports tell how our hospitals compare with others in the state in carrying out these treatment measures.

Heart Attack index report

Percent of heart attack patients that received all the care they needed based on a selected group of treatment measures (data collected from 1/1/06 through 12/31/06).

  • Average of participating state hospitals = 91%
