The Healing Center

Description: The Healing Center's mission is to offer sexual abuse and assault survivors and their loved ones opportunities for healing through support, advocacy and community education. The Healing Center is committed to providing free and holistic services, a knowledgeable and caring staff, and a respectful environment that honors confidentiality and privacy.

Volunteer activities:

1. Special Events Volunteer
   As a Special Events Volunteer, you will attend a brief training on The Healing Center and familiarize yourself with how our organization works. We will then discuss how your strengths fit the upcoming event. We welcome your input on planning, designing and facilitating.
2. Administrative/Maintenance Volunteer
   Oftentimes, we seek those willing to lend a hand in assembling intake folders, sexual abuse folders and organize our "Tower of Power," which includes a vast array of informational and educational resources.
3. Transport Volunteer
   Many of our clients rely on public transportation in order to arrive and depart from The Healing Center. If you have fully comprehensive car insurance and a good driving record, we would love to reimburse you for miles!
4. Workshop Volunteer
   Do you enjoy teaching others and bringing new ideas to those interested in learning positive life skills? We welcome all who wish to speak or conduct a workshop on topics that may be beneficial to those who have suffered sexual assault or abuse.
