Pass along your smile and become a Aurora West Allis Medical Center volunteer
Aurora West Allis Medical Center is a community-based facility that is part of the Aurora Health Care system. Its volunteers work in 30 different areas of the hospital during shifts of 4 hours per week.
Some of their positions have patient contact, such as Discharge Escort or Dietary Menu Distributor. Some assignments call for light clerical work, as in Women's Health Education, Rehab or Radiology. Some jobs are sit-down, the kind you find in Day Surgery or Medical Records. And some positions need a high degree of customer service skills, like Tour Guides or Information Desk Clerks.
Whatever a volunteer's assignment, each knows that he/she meaningfully supports the clinical or administrative staff and, ultimately, the welfare of the patients.
In addition to these supporting positions, WAMH's Volunteer Service offers another dimension to its program. Volunteers have the opportunity to be a apart of our Women's Auxiliary or Men's Service Club. These organizations enable their members to play a wider role in the hospital's mission and get additional satisfaction in giving something back to their community.
We welcome your calls to our Volunteer Office and will gladly send you an information packet which includes an application form. After we receive your application, our Manager of Volunteer Services will call you to arrange for a convenient interview time. You can contact the office staff at 414-328-7175 or e-mail your inquiry to email@example.com.
