Breastfeeding basics

Register mother only (coach/partner is included in the registration fee)

This class is designed for pregnant women, along with coach/partner, who are planning to breastfeed or are undecided about how to feed your infant. A lactation specialist from Aurora BayCare Medical Center facilitates class. Attendance during the 6th or 7th month of pregnancy is recommended.

Topics include:

Breast anatomy
Process of milk production
Instructions on initiation of nursing
Benefits of breastfeeding for both mom and baby
Practical hints and tips for successful breastfeeding

What to bring to class - Please bring a small bed pillow for comfort if desired.

Where is class - Class is held at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, WI.

Bad weather - Please call the hospital switchboard operator at (920) 288-8000 or toll free at (888) 863-5502 after 4 p.m. on weekdays or after 7 a.m. on weekends (the day of the class) to find out if the class has been canceled due to poor weather.

Registration/payment - Because class size is limited, prepayment is necessary to reserve your spot in class. You may register online or by phone at (888) 863-5502.
