Living well with chronic conditions

Are you an adult with an ongoing health condition? Put life back into your life. Consider a Living Well Workshop. You'll receive the support you need, find practical ways to deal with pain and fatigue, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, and learn better ways to talk with your doctor and family about your health. If you have conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain, or anxiety, the Living Well workshop can help you take charge of your life.

Originally developed and tested through the School of Medicine at Stanford University this program empowers participants by offering new strategies that will give them the confidence, motivation and skills needed to manage the challenges of living with a chronic medical condition.

People with different chronic health issues attend the program together. It is facilitated by two trained lay-leaders in a workshop style, but most of the learning comes from sharing and helping others with similar challenges.

A friend, a caregiver, or relative is welcome to participate in the workshop. They too, will benefit from the problem-solving skills related to managing a chronic condition.

The cost of $20 includes the book "Living A Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions".  If cost is an issue please discuss when registering for the class.
