Caring For Your Newborn/Breastfeeding Your Baby: The Basics
A two-session class that covers the basics of newborn care, safety, and feeding your baby. The first half of the class discusses feeding, diapering, bathing, signs of illness and when to call your doctor. This material is not covered in any other class. Parents who are adopting a baby or older siblings (age 12 and older) are welcome to attend. The second half of the class discusses the benefits of breastfeeding, preparation for breastfeeding in the hospital and at home, and how to pump and store breast milk. (Fee: $15 if only attending breastfeeding part of class).
