Cellular phones may not be used in the hospital. Our goal is to give every patient information in the way that he or she understands best. We offer services for patients who need them. Please contact your nurse for information on how to access these services. Community Resource Library Community members are welcome to visit our libraries and use our print and online resources as well. Photocopies are 10 cents per page. Books and audiovisuals may be checked out for 2 weeks. Fax: 920-456-7049 Your doctor will talk with you about your discharge date. If you have questions about your discharge, please ask your doctor or nurse. The hospital conducts many routine safety drills. You may see flashing lights or hear a series of bells or announcements that signal an emergency drill. During these drills your door may be closed. Please stay in your room unless told otherwise by nursing staff. A financial counselor can help you if have concerns about how you will pay your hospital bill. Your questions will be answered about your bill and possible payment options. If you do not have insurance, we will help you find out if you qualify for Medicaid or other assistance programs. If you need help, please call the hospital and ask to speak with the financial counselor. Hospital bill payments may be made Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. -4 p.m. To pay online, click here. If flowers arrive for you, we will bring them to your room. Flowers and plants received after discharge will be returned to the florist so they can be sent to your home. Latex balloons are not allowed in the hospital because many people are allergic to latex. Our foodservice staff will visit you prior to your meals to obtain your order. Please advise the staff of any special diet requests that you may have. Check with your nurse before eating or drinking any food items brought to you by visitors. In our gift shop you will find unique gifts, seasonal items, fresh flowers, greeting cards, magazines and candy. Our gift shop is run by a group of wonderful volunteers. Hours of operation may vary. To place an order, call 920-456-7010. Hotel nearby The Holiday Day Inn Express is just up the street and they offer a special rate for Aurora. If you call for reservations be sure to mention this. Their number is 920-303-1300. If you travel via Highway 41, exit at #119. Head west on Highway 21. Turn left at the first stop light and you will see the Holiday Inn Express on the left next to Cousins Subs. To reach the hospital from the Holiday Inn Express - head left out of the parking lot at the hotel. You will see the hospital straight ahead of you. At the stop sign turn left onto Westhaven Dr.. Turn right into the parking lot. To prevent losing you personal items, please label them and keep them by your bedside table. These items can get lost if left in the bedding or on the food trays. If you lose something make sure that you tell the nursing staff right away. Our security staff will make every attempt to find your item. If an item is found after you leave, we will contact you for pick-up or delivery. Medical equipment/electrical devices For your safety, electrical devices or appliances may need to be checked out by clinical engineering. Please notify your nurse if you are bringing any of these items into the hospital. Local newspapers are delivered to patients each morning with their breakfast. If family members need to stay overnight, we will try and provide on-site sleeping and shower accommodations. Ask the patient's nurse about this or for information about nearby lodging. Free parking is available. You may receive a Patient Satisfaction Survey form the hospital asking you about your stay. Please fill out the survey and mail it back in the stamped envelope provided. We take pride in the quality and service we provide to you, but we know that there is always room for improvement . We will consider your comments and respond to areas that need attention. Thanks you helping us improve our hospital. For your safety, our property is patrolled 24 hours a day by security offices and electronic surveillance. The security staff will escort patients and visitors to their cars at night upon request. This hospital is "smoke free." No smoking is allowed anywhere on campus.
We have an open visitation policy. Some medical conditions or scheduled procedures may limit visiting times. Family and friends may call the nursing unit for more information. A Volunteer Chaplain is here to help you with your spiritual needs. An on-call chaplain is available 24 hours a day. If you prefer to see your own clergy, please feel free to call them. Everyone is welcome to use the Chapel (open 24 hours a day), located on the 1st floor next to the intensive care unit.
