And if one is sick but I have to take all three with me to the appointment, he takes the time to check out each one. He's very knowledgeable and explains exactly what is wrong, gives us options for treatments and explains each of those. And best of all, my kids love Dr. Don!”

I saw a cardiologist, Dr. Ninneman, at the clinic in Fond du Lac and he explained what a flutter is. He was really good; it wasn't just an “in and out' appointment like you hear about so often. He sent me to Aurora St. Luke's where I had a procedure to shock my heart, and I'm feeling fine now.

Dr. Roetker suggested doing the outpatient surgery at the Aurora Health Center. He had done arthroscopic surgery on my shoulder earlier, so I trusted their care. I regained the strength and flexibility in my hand after the surgery and I can do everything now.

Hearing friends talk about their exceptional experiences with nurse midwives led Jackie Konkol of Fond du Lac to seek a midwife when she learned she was pregnant. Now, after 2 babies, Jackie is also recommending midwives.

“The midwives offer a whole different approach. I was impressed the minute I met Loree (Olson, certified nurse midwife.) I was also impressed by the amount of time she took to get to know me -- instead of a 15-minute appointment, the midwives have longer appointments. They have a whole different approach to OB/GYN care, but provide the same professional care. They're very gentle in their approach -- both physically and emotionally.”
