Ear, Nose & Throat Procedures
Waukesha County's Premiere ENT Treatment Options
After a complete physical examination and recommended studies, your Aurora ENT physician (otolaryngology physician or head and neck surgeon) will determine the ENT treatment plan to address your individual condition. All our Aurora ENT physicians practice a vast array of surgical ENT procedures to treat disorders of the head and neck for patients of all ages. We also work with other medical specialists who may help treat your condition—often just down the hall at our convenient, easy-to-access clinic in Summit, Wisconsin.
As board-certified ENT specialists, we have the knowledge and unique skills to treat ENT conditions through our established relationships with multiple specialties, such as neurosurgery, ophthalmology, neuro-otology, allergy, pulmonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, oral surgery and plastic surgery. With most specialists located in the same clinic location—just down the corridor—we make it easy for you to see all your specialists in one visit.
Medical and Surgical Approaches to Care
Determining the best ENT treatment will vary according to your particular condition and what type of symptoms you're experiencing. In the early stages of a disorder, surgical procedures may not be recommended but may be the only method to address some conditions.
In some cases, your ENT specialist may diagnose your problem, but ultimately send you to another specialist for treatment. Our ENT doctors will diagnose cancer of the head and neck, surgically remove tumors and then refer you to an oncologist for radiation or chemotherapy for further specialized treatments.
Likewise, some children with chronic ear infections may have delayed speech development. In these cases, your ENT specialist and a speech pathologist may work together as a team to treat your child. Your ENT doctor can assist you in seeking out other medical specialists.
In addition, our physician practice offers you complete hearing services and speech therapy at our Waukesha County clinic locations.
Sleep Disorder Evaluation
For sleep disorders, treatment would begin following evaluation at one of our Aurora Sleep Disorders Centers. Our physicians will put together an individualized treatment plan designed to give you the restful night's sleep you deserve. Obstructive sleep apnea, a common disorder, can be treated by managing a nasal allergy or infection, correcting a nasal deformity or removing tonsils and adenoids. In some cases, surgery on the throat and palate can reduce excess tissue and widen the air passage. Nonsurgical options are also available, including a mask to improve airflow and promote continuous breathing at night.
