One of the most important factors in choosing a hospital site is quick and easy access for emergency vehicles, patients, family members, visitors, physicians and employees. By this measure, the Town of Summit site would be ideal.

Highway traffic noise not suited for hospital (letter to the editor)

Oconomowoc Enterprise, June 8, 2006

As a former longtime employee of Pabst Farms Inc., I have spent considerable time on the former Pabst property near I-94, as well as on the Pabst lake, plus visiting the Summit cemetery.

Have the Aurora hospital officials ever experienced the constant roar of the I-94 traffic, including the huge diesel semis changing gears at the (Highway) 67-94 interchange?

It has always been the opinion that hospitals should be built at a location sharing a quiet environment.

The unending noise near the northeast of Interstate 94 and Highway 67 of the Pabst Farms property cannot be heard just looking at a map of the area. It is a better location for a bowling alley.
