LAUREL To settlement talks finally beginning between Oconomowoc
and Aurora Health Care. The hospital systems lawsuit against the
city is more than 5 years old, and it is about time the two sides
work to end it. The final result of these talks has yet to be
determined, and who knows? maybe the settlement discussions will
end up with Aurora building in the town of Summit after all. That is
what Aurora wants, that is what the city wants, and that is what the
town wants. Either way, at least Aurora and the city are talking.
Hopefully this means an end to the rhetoric, for now.
LAUREL To Pabst Farms Development Inc. for bringing on General
Growth Properties Inc. as a partner in the development of a massive
retail complex for Oconomowoc. From Mayfair Mall in Wauwatosa to
Oakbrook Center near Chicago, we like what the real estate
investment trust has done in other areas. We hope, and expect, a
similar quality development at Pabst Farms.
