Topping Off ceremony

Construction of Aurora Medical Center in the Town of Summit reached a major milestone June 11 with the placement of the final piece of structural steel.

Construction workers and community members joined physicians and other caregivers from Aurora Health Care for a special topping off ceremony at the construction site at Interstate 94 and Highway 67 in the Town of Summit. Also participating was Summit Town Chairman Len Susa.

The completion of the structural steel was marked with the lifting of a beam painted in Aurora's signature teal and signed by many of the construction workers.
