Dr. Tarawneh attended medical school at the Karkov Medical Institution in the Ukraine before returning to his native Jordan to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine.

In 1989 he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to participate in a clinical fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Dr. Tarawneh is married with two children.
