Biography

Mohammad Imran Anjum, MD, is an addiction psychiatrist with experience that includes working in detoxification, inpatient, outpatient and rehabilitation units. Dr. Anjum's special interests and services include conducting motivational interviews with patients to enhance recovery from substance use, following up with patients with comorbid substance-abuse and psychiatric illnesses, treating patients based on biopsychosocial formulation, and considering pharmacological treatment of cravings to help patients recovering from substance abuse.

Dr. Anjum also has experience working with a methadone maintenance treatment program and treating patients with opiate, alcohol, cocaine and benzodiazepine dependence, as well as comorbid medical and psychiatric illnesses.

In addition, Dr. Anjum completed an addiction fellowship at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center through Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. (02/12)
